We loved our stay at the Clarke Motel! They have a very affordable suite that's perfect for our family of 6 with two separate rooms to provide a place for the parents to hang out and watch TV after the kids go to bed. The grounds have a fire tower, play set, horseshoes, fire pit, old boat to play on, and plenty of space to explore and play in. The rooms and building are in great shape with cute finishes. The owners are laid back, friendly, and helpful. The welcoming committee, a chocolate lab and yellow lab, are so friendly and great with kids. They'll even go into your room! We had a great time at the Clarke Motel and will definitely stay there again.

the owners of this establishment go above and beyond to meet and exceed your wants and needs. the rooms are clean and cozy. the beds are very comfortable. the fire pit and lounge area out back are amazing after a long day of being tourists

Excellent place for UP fun, super clean and friendly. Mike is there to help fix your toys if needed, or to pull you out of the ditch. I really liked the food room, water, sodas, candy, microwave food, with the honor system. Very nice touch!

If you are going to stay in the motel, then it is great, I'd recommend the motel! The owners are very friendly. We had 5 people, and needed another room. I booked the room and the cabin at the same time. I stayed in the cabin with one of my kids. During the night my daughter was awakened by a small critter falling from the cabin wall and bouncing of her face. In the morning we saw 4 mice racing along where the wall meets the roof. The table in the room had mouse droppings on it as well as our towels that we were going to use. The steal springs of the full size bed are very uncomfortable, and after a very long day was not what I was expecting. The rest of my family that stayed in the motel had a great rest and they were very comfortable. The snack shack is a great plus and if not for the cabin this would have been 5 solid stars.
